All vehicles are cleaned before handover, maintained regularly, and inspected together with the customer. The vehicle’s condition will be documented before the rental begins, allowing both parties to confirm its condition clearly.

Bookings are generally made by vehicle category. The exact brand, model, year, and colour depend on availability. Where necessary, the rental provider may offer a comparable vehicle from the same category.

Vehicle Delivery

The vehicle can be delivered to your selected location. The applicable delivery and collection arrangements will be confirmed before your booking is finalised.

Rental Requirements

The renter must:

• Be at least 21 years old
• Provide a valid Indonesian ID card for Indonesian customers or a valid passport for international customers
• Hold a valid driving licence appropriate for the rented vehicle
• For international customers, hold a valid national driving licence accompanied by an International Driving Permit recognised in Indonesia, where required
• Provide an active WhatsApp number
• Pay the applicable security deposit at vehicle handover
• Sign or accept the applicable vehicle rental agreement

The vehicle may only be driven by a person registered and approved under the rental booking.

Security Deposit

• Indonesian renters: IDR 1,000,000
• International renters: IDR 2,000,000

The security deposit is paid at vehicle handover. It will be returned after the vehicle has been returned and inspected. The inspection normally takes less than 10 minutes.

Where applicable, amounts may be deducted for:

• Vehicle damage
• Missing vehicle items
• Lost or damaged keys
• Fuel replacement
• Traffic or parking fines
• Late return charges
• Excessive cleaning
• Other amounts payable under the rental agreement

The security deposit is not the maximum limit of the renter’s responsibility. If the total loss, damage, or other amount payable exceeds the deposit, the renter must pay the remaining balance.

Rental Period and Late Return

One rental day covers a maximum period of 24 hours, calculated from the agreed vehicle handover time.

A grace period of up to one hour may be allowed. If the vehicle is returned more than one hour after the agreed return time, an additional one-day rental charge will apply.

If you expect to return the vehicle late, contact our customer support team or the rental provider as soon as possible.

Fuel Policy

The vehicle must be returned with the same fuel level recorded at handover. If the vehicle is returned with less fuel, the renter may be charged for the missing fuel and any applicable refuelling cost.

Permitted Use

The rental vehicle may only be used within Bali unless written permission is provided by the rental provider.

The vehicle must not be:

• Taken outside Bali without written permission
• Driven by an unregistered or unlicensed person
• Sub-rented or transferred to another person
• Used for racing, speed testing, or off-road activities
• Used for unlawful purposes
• Driven under the influence of alcohol or drugs
• Used beyond its reasonable passenger or luggage capacity
• Operated recklessly or in a way that may damage the vehicle
• Bringing pets is generally prohibited.

Insurance and Financial Responsibility

Unless expressly stated otherwise in writing, rental vehicles are not covered by comprehensive vehicle insurance.

The renter is responsible for damage, loss, theft, accidents, traffic violations, towing, lost keys, and other costs arising during the rental period, except to the extent directly caused by the rental provider’s proven fault or otherwise determined under applicable law.

Repair costs and loss of rental income while a damaged vehicle is unavailable may be charged based on the inspection and supporting documentation.

Customers are strongly encouraged to obtain suitable personal travel and rental-vehicle insurance before using a self-drive vehicle.

Accidents, Damage, or Vehicle Problems

If an accident, theft, significant damage, or safety-related problem occurs:

1. Stop using the vehicle if it is unsafe to continue.
2. Contact eSIMTravel.id and the rental provider immediately.
3. Take clear photographs and videos of the vehicle and surrounding area.
4. Contact the police or relevant authority where required.
5. Do not arrange repairs or agree to private compensation without approval from the rental provider.
6. Cooperate with the provider’s investigation and documentation process.

Cancellation and Rescheduling

• More than 72 hours before the rental: Cancellation is permitted with a cancellation fee equal to one day’s rental charge.
• Within 72 hours of the rental: The booking is non-refundable.
• Rescheduling: One free schedule change may be requested at least 72 hours before the original rental time, subject to availability and any price difference.
• No-show: The booking is non-refundable.
• Cancellation by the provider: If no suitable replacement is available or accepted, the eligible rental amount will be refunded in full.

How to Book

2. Provide your rental date, time, duration, and delivery location.
3. Submit the required renter and driving-licence information.
4. Complete the full booking payment.
5. Receive your confirmation and vehicle handover instructions.
6. Present the required documents and security deposit at handover.
7. Inspect the vehicle together with the rental provider before driving.
